The following represents my own thoughts and views. If you find it helpful, I thank God. If not, I hope that you will just ignore everything. Thanks :)
Have been thinking many thoughts.
U'll understand when u're my age :P
Studies is not the only thing u worry abt.
Studies is not everything.
There are so many other things out there in life.
When we focus on studies alone in a way we're really limiting God's blessings in other areas.
How great is God's love.
That one act on the Cross.
Jesus didnt invite us into a religion.
He invited us into a personal, intimate relationship with Him.
He was the ultimate sacrifice.
He became poor so that we could be come rich.
Broken so that we could become whole.
Took the sin of all humanity so that we could be forgiven.
Many ppl think that only Salvation is free.
But Grace is free as well.
Healing.
Richness.
And many other kinds of blessings.
God is literally dying to give it all to us.
But He wont force His way through :)
He's a real gentleman.
And until we acknowledge His presence He wont do anything.
Being a child of God.
To quote Joel: "it means alot to me."
Just as Jesus was, so will we be.
What are the implications of this statement?
If we believe this God to be so great, so almighty and powerful,
And at the same time we believe that He is all-loving and full of goodness,
Then how come many a times we limit Him?
And think that this is probably the best that He can do.
Getting an 'A' is good enough.
But God wants to give you full marks!!! :D
U may think I'm abit extreme.
But my point is simple : Does God not want to give you His best?
As His child will He give you second-best?
I dont think so.
I used to limit what God can do.
Upon reaching a certain level I'd think God is already blessing me.
I still think like that now sometimes.
But I'm learning not to limit what God can do.
Jesus did not die on that Cross just to make sure you pass your exams.
He wants you to top the class!!! :D
When Jesus hung there dying, it wasnt juz to forgive some of your sins, or even most of it.
It was a 100% forgiveness.
Past, Present AND Future sin.
All forgiven.
Eternally Redeemed.
Many times we thank God when good things happen to us.
We're really very thankful.
And we become so happy.
I've nothing against that.
But what I wanna say is that : shouldnt this be happening to us in the first place?
As a child of the Most High God, we should be anticipating and expecting good things to happen to us.
It should be a natural thing that we expect.
Do you see the difference?
Another thing.
Nowadays many ppl see Christianity as a series of dos and donts.
Which is quite sad in a way.
We expect ppl to fit into a certain mould b4 we embrace and accept them.
But that's not what its about.
Its abt entering into a relationship with Jesus.
Receiving the undeserved grace.
Receiving the unmerited favour.
Knowing that we're highly blessed.
Declaring that we're deeply loved.
Its no longer abt wad we do.
Its abt what He has done for us.
Believing that we are righteous because of Him.
And that there is no more condemnation in Christ Jesus.
Christ came not to make the 10 commandments into 20 commandments;
He came so that we would no longer be bound by the law.
He came to set us free!!!
Whenever we sin, there are still consequences, but we hav been declared righteous! :)
It is something so perfect and wonderful that we can only begin to stare in awe at His works.
There are no perfect people.
But they can be perfectly forgiven.
And perfectly loved.
Thank you Jesus.
Thank you for the Cross.
I encourage you to explore this God.
Invite him into your life.
Acknowledge and cultivate His presence.
When you look unto Jesus, your life will never be the same again! :)
