For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written,"The just shall live by faith."
It is plainly and clearly stated.
We are to live from faith to faith, not faith to works.
Whenever something goes wrong, or a situation arises, we tend to ask ourselves what we have done wrong.
Did we do something wrong last week, last month etc. and now the rooster has come home to crow?
We start to evaluate ourselves based on our actions, performance and things that we have done wrong.
BUT THAT'S NOT THE WAY IT WORKS!!!
Instead, we should be asking ourselves the question,"Where have I believed wrong?"
Wrong believing leads to wrong doing/living.
For example, if you think that being angry puts you in a powerful position where u are 'above' others, then it will be very easy to become angry.
The righteous (believers) shall live by faith and faith alone :)
Once again, we need to establish that faith is not believing that something can happen, but rather it is believing that something has already happened.
Today is not our works that place us in a position of faith, but it is the complete work of Jesus that gives us the confidence to receive the blessings that are already rightfully ours!
We are not praying for victory but from victory!! :D
What a glorious truth!!
His once-and-for-all, completely complete, perfectly perfect sacrifice at the Cross accomplished what we could never ever accomplish on our own!
He did it all!
Praise Jesus! :D
Next, I'm gonna share the power of our words.
When we hear something and believe it, we need to speak it out!
The bible says that 'life and death are in the power of the tongue'!
From our human perspective, we always speak what we see.
And in these end times, alot of the things we see are quite negative.
But we don't realise that we are reinforcing what we speak!!
We think of the upcoming week, full of tests, challenges and obstacles and we say,"Aiya die la this week sure cannot make it one."
As we have spoken, so shall it be.
On the contrary, how does God speak?
Notice that at the beginning where there was only darkness God called forth light.
He didnt say,"Wa so dark arh!"
It would become even darker!! :P
Contrary to us, God didn't speak what He saw but He spoke what He wanted to see!!!
If u read ur bible carefully, u will realise that Jesus always spoke forth the healing before it actually manifested physically.
He spoke what He wanted to see! :)
Today, because we are in Christ and made in the same image as God, our words carry power too!!
Think about that for a moment :P
We can use our words to make this world a better place!
Hallelujah!!!
Bear with me for awhile as u read the following passage from the bible:
Romans 4:1-8
What then shall we say that Abraham our father has found according to the flesh? For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. For what does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness." Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt. But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works: "Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin."
This passage is wonderful and contains many marvelous truths! :D
First, when you simply believe that Jesus died for your sins at the Cross, you are made righteous! Accept Him as your Lord and Saviour, and you are made righteous before God!
Next, we see that God justifies the ungodly.
Wow!
Aren't you glad that He said that.
Because we all qualify His justification!
He doesn't justify the godly but the ungodly!
Sounds too good to be true?
This is THE power of God unto salvation!
One final important point.
David mentions that "Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin"!
Wow!
How is this possible?
Because 2000 years ago, every single sin was imputed into the body of Jesus Christ.
And he took everything that came with it.
Every punishment, condemnation and judgement.
Your sins were imputed into him, and His righteousness was imputed into you!
He took your place and became a curse, so that today you will take His place and receive all His blessings!!!
This is the gospel of Christ! :D
Aren't you glad you have such a wonderful Saviour?
Altogether lovely, altogether worthy, altogether wonderful to see! :)
