God's music does wonders!!

Was looking thru all the diff kinds of songs I had from Hillsong and this reli touched me... Quite an old song but very nice =)

You Are My World

My father I adore You more
Than anything my heart could wish for
I just want You
And Jesus my beloved savior
Everything I am I owe to You
I owe it all to You

And angels come and adore You
And we Your children worship You

You are my world
You are my God
And I lay down my life for You
You are my Lord
The one I love
No one could ever take Your place

And everything I have I give to You
My Lord, the One I live for
I live for You
And all my days are gifts from You
I pray Id use them as You want me to
Use them for You

And angels come and adore You
And we your children worship You

You are my world
You are my God
And I lay down my life for You
You are my Lord
The One I love
No one could ever take Your place

God is closer than u think =)

The past 2 days hav been super cool! And I reli thank God for being in my life! =) Sunday managed to hav breakfast with Chengyi after he played bass for the morning service (apparently he's coming back as a bassist) and asked him some computer stuff... Then during service I tried to sing as I played but apparently I cant reli do tat yet... So many wrong chords, lolx... But it was still nice worshiping the Lord, and the songs tat Yile chose were quite old but all v nice =) Quite surprised to see Hui San (Doreen's fren) again cos I thought she would be going to her own church... Anyway finally got the survivor pics (wont post yet cos waiting for more photos from Enz) and asked Doreen to pass to her 2 other frenz...

After service went shopping at Orchard with Ben, Chengxin, Nicholas, Han En, Li Yun, Jing Hui, Yilin, Xiao Yuan, Shu Qi and Winnie... Big crowd, hahaz... While the gals shopped, I mainly crapped around with Ben =P Left with Shu Qi close to 6 to meet Audrey and Donne to go NUS for this Chinese Opera... (but its actually in Eng) Audrey went to get the tix while we went for dinner first and tar pow for her... Made it juz in time (the play started at 8) and soon the story was unfolding b4 our very eyes... There were many diff songs edited to fit certain famous tunes and it was totally hilarious!! The acting was super gd too! Its been quite a long time ever since I saw something so fantastic and marvelous!! Thanks Audrey for recommending this to me! =) For $23.70, its super duper worth it, lolx... Ultra late after the play/musical ended but we still managed to take public transport home... I went back the East-West line with Donne and we toked abt life in uni... Upon reaching the interchange, I managed to catch the last bus home la... God is so cool rite? Its reli the last bus and everything juz fit so nicely till all the way back home =)

By then I was already asked by Liyun, Jing Hui and Chengxin abt the plans for today, cos I sortof wanted to plan some outing with Ben b4 he leaves for Taiwan tml... Took my shower upon reaching home and checked the movie timings b4 replying them while at the same time asking other ppl to join us... In the end, Chengxin, Ben, Kaiqi, Liyun, Jing Hui, Han En and me ended up watching Untraceable at Vivo this morning... I thought was quite gd though maybe abit too gory... Jing Hui was beside me and her voice got louder as the scenes got scarier and she was burying herself into Liyun too, lolx... Anyway after the movie we spent like half an hour deciding on wad to eat b4 we finally settled for Banquet at Harbourfront Centre... Went off first with Kaiqi after tat but then I realised tat I still had quite some time so we went ps to slack around... Shared one waffle with ice cream (cookie and cream) on top... Taste was not bad =) Then tok and chat randomly for 1 hour b4 I went down to Carrefour to meet Josiah and take my NTU course syllabus from him (printed and binded neatly)... After tat left for tuition liao... Oh ya my phone died at 4 plus after receiving a call from Simon saying tat he juz touched down (I was totally surprised, lolx)

So after tuition I went for my first night driving lesson! And guess wad? It went much better than I expected... Once again thank God for it! I was reli praying v hard on my way to the lesson and hoping that things would turn out fine... The drive on the road was smoother than I expected and I managed to learn my U-turn and start on parallel parking!! Super cool rite? =P During the U-turning was one of the few times when my instructor praised me again and again! Then for parallel parking on my second attempt managed to tycoly park until the car reli juz fit nicely within the 4 poles, centralised and everything! Gosh things are reli so different when we learnt to depend on Him and know tat He is with us in everything we do!! =)

I shall go and seek Him more and more... The peace and joy tat He brings is worth everything tat I noe of =P Anyway today the new drum set came (chosen and bought by Enz and Ben) and I helped to set it up at the 3rd floor... I thought the white colour was quite cool la, and after we finished setting it up it reli looked superb... Oh man, Yi Yong and Si Hao will so pleased to get to play on a new drumset! Now I'm waiting for my keyboard... Got budget liao but any other sponsors? =)=)=)

After tat went down to Mavis' 21st Bday party... Its been a long time since I had buffet liao, hahaz... The food was gd, and the whole party was juz fantastic la... Got a few random pics below =)

Random Jokes =)

Who is cleverer? Teacher or student?

One Night 4 College Students Were Playing Till Late Night and Didn't
Study For The Test Which Was Scheduled For The Next Day.

In the morning they thought of a plan. They made themselves look as
dirty and weird with grease and dirt. They then went up to the Dean and
said that they had gone out to a wedding last night and on their return
the tyre of their car burst and they had to push the car all the way
back and that they were in no condition to appear for the test.

So the Dean said they can have the re-test after 3 days. They thanked
him and said they will be ready by that time...
On the third day they appeared before the Dean. The Dean said that as
this was a Special Condition Test, All four were required to sit in
separate classrooms for the test.
They all agreed as they had prepared well in the last 3 days.

The Test consisted of 2 questions with the total of 100 Marks.

Q.1. Your Name.........................( 2 MARKS )
Q.2. Which tyre burst?...............( 98 MARKS )

a) Front Left
b) Front Right
c) Back Left
d) Back Right.....!!!

Buyers Beware When in China

A man went on a business trip to China and wanted to buy some gifts for his kids.
He went to a shop and found a nice looking CD player. Wary of buying inferior goods,
he asked the shopkeeper, 'What would happen if this does not work?'

The shopkeeper quietly points to the only sign in English that reads,

'GUARANTEE NO SPOILT.'

Feeling assured, he paid for the CD player and returns to his hotel. He tried to use the
CD player after returning to the hotel but it would not even switch on.

He quickly return to the shop and asked for a refund or an exchange for another unit.
When the shopkeeper refused to give either, the man points to the sign assuring him
of a guarantee.

The shopkeeper then said, 'Brother, you are in China. We read from the right to the left.'

The sharing of marriage...

The old man placed order for one hamburger, French fries and a drink.

He unwrapped the plain hamburger and carefully cut it in half, placing
one half in front of his wife .

He then carefully counted out the French fries, dividing them into two
piles and neatly placed one pile in front of his wife.

He took a sip of the drink, his wife took a sip and then set the cup down
between them . As he began to eat his few bites of hamburger, the people
around them were looking over and whispering.

Obviously they were thinking, 'That poor old couple - all they can afford is
one meal for the two of them.'

As the man began to eat his fries a young man came to the table and
politely offered to buy another meal for the old couple. The old man said,
they were just fine - they were used to sharing everything.

People closer to the table noticed the little old lady hadn't eaten a bite.
She sat there watching her husband eat and occasionally taking turns
sipping the drink.

Again, the young man came over and begged them to let him buy another
meal for them. This time the old woman said 'No, thank you, we are used
to sharing everything.'

Finally, as the old man finished and was wiping his face neatly with the napkin,
the young man again came over to the little old lady who had yet to eat a single
bite of food and asked 'What is it you are waiting for?'

She answered:

'THE TEETH.'

Life goes on...

Life is good, but giving tuition onli leaves me with lots of free time in the morning and on Fridays (cos I dont teach) and sometimes I wonder wad else I can do... Anyway juz some updates... Tuesday went to Sentosa and we built sandcastles again, lolx... Was quite random but fun... Buried Enz, then Shuqi drew the Agape Logo and we tried to capture ourselves above the water while jumping up, hahaz... Check out some of the pics below =)

Wednesday went down to church to clean and polish the drum set... Overslept cos was super tired from the Sentosa trip, lolx... Found out tat it can be addictive polishing the metal parts of the drums =P But Ying Dan reli polished her cymbals until I can literally use it as a mirror, so u can imagine how shiny it was... Lunch was KFC sponsored by the church and some rojak as well (we topped up the balance)... Had to leave after tat cos got tuition...

Then today I spent half the day summarizing and editing my NTU course syllabus... Finally managed to compile it all and sent it to Josiah who will be printing it and binding it for me... Cool rite? Free somemore, cos he's using the company printer... Shhhh =) Got the idea from him when I met him on Monday for dinner, lolx... He offered to "help" me since it was his last 5 days at Starhub, hahaz... Fully utilize the company's resources b4 quitting, lolx... N I realised I reli hav lots of modules to study =/ Gosh! Well, I Went down to Kailin's place for tuition for the first time today... Muz say tat its rather cool to still be able to get students... N the thing is her Dad is ok tat I can onli teach till July... So cool rite? God reli provides! =)

Anyway I think I better pull myself together and move on, though I muz say tat this wk has been a rough wk... Need to cling onto His faithfulness and walk on... 2 Bday parties to look forward to plus my upcoming medical checkup, lolx... N my students r having their mid-years soon, which means I may get extra busy... I haven't forgotten the idea of creating my own math notes! =)
